Today (29 May) was the Midlothian premiere of 'The Mask' attended by the Minister for Public Health and the local SNP Councillor. It was the launch of the short film created by men from the SHARE project based at the Orchard Centre focussing on the difficulties talking about mental health and emotional distress. Read more.

April 2014: Recycled carrier bags ‘blossom’ to say “thank you”

When Scottish charity Health in Mind received a £550 donation from the Waitrose Morningside Community Matters Scheme, a special “thank you”, in the form of a spray of delicate spring blossom, was made from the supermarket’s recycled carrier bags by some of the charity’s service users. Read more.

March 2014 - New programme heralds new approach to reduce reoffending

As a partner in an exciting new project, Health in Mind is delighted to announce the launch of the Re:d Peer Programme. The project is a new approach to peer support for offenders with the aim of reducing reoffending by exploring new ways of working effectively and providing support to people involved with the criminal justice system. Read more.

The feedback from the fourth annual Service Evaluation Report, published today (Monday 10 February 2014), shows high levels of client satisfaction with 92  percent of those responding saying they would recommend Health in Mind to a friend.
