Community Navigator

Community Navigator, South West LOOP

Hours:  36.25 hours per week

Salary: £20,268 fixed (AP3 point 23 Health in Mind linked scale)

Contract: until 31st March 2018 with possible extension dependant on funding

Health in Mind Community Navigator service, which is delivered on behalf of the South West Edinburgh LOOP (Local Opportunities for Older People) delivers a range of approaches to ensure vulnerable, hard to reach older people) know about and feel able to access local services.

In addition to developing and delivering the service, the  Community Navigator will also recruit, train and support a team of volunteers to support them in their work.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the service, working with SW LOOP members, providing support to people using the service and in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting older people, managing volunteers and delivering information.
