Target Audience: All who have a professional or personal interest in the field of mental health.
Aims of SMHFA:
- To preserve life
- To provide practical help
- To promote the recovery of good mental health
- To provide comfort to a person experiencing distress
- To promote understanding of mental health issues
By the end of the training participants will have considered
- Alcohol and Drugs
- Listening Skills
All participants will be given a copy of the SMHFA manual and a certificate on completion of the course.
Alan Burnett is the Training and Development Assistant at Health in Mind. He is also a qualified SMHFA Instructor.
Julia Flockhart is also a qualified SMHFA instructor. Her current role is that of Support and Development worker within Health in Mind.
