Community Navigator, South East LOOP

Hours:  36.25 hours per week
Salary: £20,268 fixed (AP3, point 23 Health in Mind linked scale)
Contract: until 31st March 2019 with possible extension dependent on funding

Health in Mind Community Navigator service, which is delivered on behalf of the South East Edinburgh LOOP (Local Opportunities for Older People), delivers a range of approaches to ensure vulnerable, hard to reach older people know about, and feel able to access local services.

In addition to developing and delivering the service, the Community Navigator will also recruit, train and support a team of volunteers.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the service, working with partner organisations, providing information and support to people using the service and in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting older people, managing volunteers and delivering information.
