Every year, the world comes together on 10 October for World Mental Health Day. The theme for 2023, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’.
In Scotland, around 1 in 4 people are estimated to be affected by mental health problems in any year.
While mental health is our focus every day of the year, World Mental Health Day gives us and others across the world the chance to promote positive mental health and raise awareness of mental health problems. This in turn helps to break down the stigma that unfortunately still surrounds mental health in Scotland and across the world.
Looking after your mental health is just as important as your physical health. We have a range of resources to help you support and boost your mental health and wellbeing.
