Are you experiencing mild to moderate anxiety or stress? Would you like to improve your mental health and wellbeing?

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Toolkit is a free course that can help you feel less stressed and overwhelmed. It is a place to explore different tools and strategies to improve mental health and wellbeing. We cover topics such as how anxiety and stress affect us, prevention and coping skills, breathing exercises, mindfulness, personal boundaries and challenging unhelpful thinking styles, self-care and resilience building.

The course runs over 4 sessions. You can choose which sessions to attend.

Upcoming Mental Health and Wellbeing Toolkit

Wellbeing Toolkit in Punjabi and English language with Sikh Sanjog

Location: Leith Community Centre. 12A Newkirkgate, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 6AD

Course times: Wednesdays from 1.30pm to 3pm

For Ethnic Minority Women aged 18-24 – Norton Park

The course is for Women aged 18-24 years, from a minority ethnic community living in Edinburgh, who is experiencing mild to moderate anxiety/stress and would like to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Location: Norton Park, 57 Albion Road, Edinburgh EH7 5QY

Course times: Fortnightly from 12pm – 2.00pm starting January 2024

  2. Thursday 01 February – Better sleep, Mindfulness
  3. Thursday 15 February – Thinking Style, control and problem solving
  4. Thursday 29 February – Self-Care- 5 ways of wellbeing

For Ethnic Minorities – ELREC

The course is for people aged 18 or over, from a minority ethnic community living in Edinburgh, who is experiencing mild to moderate anxiety/stress and would like to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Location: Edinburgh & Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC). 14 Forth St, Edinburgh EH1 3LH

Course times: Weekly from 11am to 1pm

  2. Friday 09 February – Breathing, Mindfulness, Gratitude
  3. Friday 16 February – Coping Skills, Thinking Style
  4. Friday 23 February – Self-care- 5 ways of wellbeing

Wellbeing Drop-in group sessions for Women – online

The course is for women aged 18 or over, from a minority ethnic community living in Edinburgh, who would like to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Location: Groups are being held online on Zoom Platform.

Course times: Alternate Mondays 11.am to 12.30pm

Wellbeing Drop-in group sessions – NKS

The Drop-in sessions are for men and mix group for both men and women, aged 18 or over, from a minority ethnic community living in Edinburgh, who would like to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
